Normally this wouldn’t qualify as a huge accomplishment, but it’s been so f-ing long since I actually wrote even half a song, that I’m going to go ahead and post what I’ve got so far. But first… the background!

I’ve always admired people who can look at a situation from the outside and then write a song based on what they thought the people might be thinking/feeling. I figured I’d give it a shot. So no, this is not based on my love life, but rather, someone else entirely!

Ok, so I’ve now been in VA for about 5 months, and I’ve only played a couple of small shows so far. There’s a nice little local coffee shop in Ruckersville, but they’re not really focused on music that much…

So, residents of Charlottesville and surrounding areas, here’s the deal: I need your help identifying venues that I can play at.

Obviously my style of music works better at a laid-back, coffeeshop type of atmosphere than it does at a bar where no one’s paying any attention (but don’t get me wrong… I’ll play anywhere). Open mics work too…

So if you know anyplace in central Virginia that fits this bill, please shoot me an email, a myspace message, a facebook wall post, whatever turns you on… Just let me know!
